Disorder of attention
Attention is the element of cognitive functioning in which the mental focus is maintained on a specific issue, object, or activity. The length of time of such focus is called attention span (170).
Attention span reflects the amount of time a person can concentrate on a single activity. Selective attention is the process by which only a subset of stimuli received by our sensory organs are selected to enter the consciousness.
