Derealisation is a feeling of disconnection from one's surroundings. It is thought as a dissociative method of withdrawing from anxiety (9).
The person feels the environment is changed, unreal, and lifeless, changes in the experience of time.
The symptoms occur in generalized and phobic anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, temporal lobe epilepsy, depersonalization disorder, or a healthy tired person.
