Cues in Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (conversational model)
Cues are bits of evidence registered by therapist.
Verbal cues relate to content of what a client is saying.
Vocal cues relate to how something is said. Non-verbal cues include other significant behaviour of the client.
Cues in the therapy (thoughts, feelings) may be important clues as to what is going on in the session.
Cues may be noted, openly acknowledged or clarified.
