Childhood emotional disorders, such as Phobic anxiety or Social anxiety disorder of childhood, Avoidant disorder, Post-traumatic stress disorder, are caused by frightening experience, stress, anxiety-prone temperament, and accompanied with excessive anxiety, excessive fear, recurrent nightmares, recurring distress, persistent, excessive worrying about some event.
Disorders of conduct and emotions may be accompanied with aggressive, dissocial or defiant behaviour with overt and marked symptoms of depression, anxiety or other emotional upsets.
Counselling, education for parents, reduction of stress, stressors, management of the behaviour, cognitive-behaviour therapy, dynamic psychotherapy are recommended.
