Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Bulimia Nervosa
Cognitive Behaviour therapy for Bulimia Nervosa is a technique based on the bulimia circle, which can be interrupted by restoring a regular pattern of eating three meals a day, increasing restraint on binge-eating.
Therapist helps to find alternative way of dealing with loneliness, unhappiness; discussing ideas about shape, weight, and self-esteem to modify cognitions, use questioning to restore logic.
This technique has not been shown to be effective, but can be used in management.
