Biofeedback is a Behavioural therapy technique. It is no longer in general use. Its aim is to assists clients to be aware of changes in a bodily function, such as blood pressure, usually in an indirect way such as relaxing. The goal is a state of deep relaxation.
The technique may be used when normal sensory information has been lost, for example, after spinal injury.
